Calories Calculator for Overweighted Person - ASSAM-FITNESS | ASSAM-BODYBUILDING

 MAINTENANCE CALORIES FOR OVER  WEIGHTED PERSON                                                                      

So from the previous blog we have learned to calculate our  maintenance calories ,but that was for the normal weighted  person who is generally fit with lower body fat percentage but  what about the people who have a higher body fat percentage. So here it is the , to calculate the maintenance calories for higher body fat percentage .                  

                               

Maintenance Calories=LBM multiplies by [14-16]kcal, where LBM=Lean Body Mass i.e. LBM = BW-BF , where BW= bodyweight in lbs or pounds and BF = body fat percentage.                   NOW, LBM=BW-BF                                                                                              =200-25% (say for example)                                                                                                  =200-50                                                                                                                                  =150                                                                                                                                         Therefore now,                                                                                                                                                M.C= 150 * [14-16]kcal                                                                                                                 = [2100- 2400]kcal                                                                                                                 


So as a result we can take any point from this range and mark as a starting point.                                                

NOTE: IT is important to tract necessary things like activity, calories intake , body weight and fat percentage, etc. time to time and after some time you will be getting your exact maintenance calories.

So to know the exact maintenance calories we have to track the activites, weight etc constantly to the exact maintenance calories of the person . But there are many theories and research done so that we can get a rough idea about our maintenance calories. So here is the easiest and simplest way to calculate your maintenance calories which works for 90-95 % of individuals.                                                                    


This formula had been created by LYLE MCDONALD , which says that if we multiply our body weight in lbs or pounds with 14-16 range then we can have our maintenance calories.  i.e.                                                               MAINTENANCE CALORIES= body weight in lbs multiply by {14-16}                                                                                                    


Lets take an example of a person named Anuj  , he work out 5-6 days in a week whose body fat percentage is 15-17% and lets say his body weight is 160lbs.                                                                                  


M.C= 160 multiply by [14-16] kcal.                =22400 - 2560 kcal                                                              


So we will take in between the maintenance calories  as a start , so his maintenance calories will be 2400kcal .Make sure you track every aspects of it like activites, weight etc. through your goal whether it is fat loss or muscle gain.

Calories plays a major role in the whole game of bodybuilding and fitness 

First of all let us know what is calories. 

Calories are unit of energy. The meal which we consume through out the day are actually calories which we are consuming .They are major part of the nutrition.                                                   
 So now lets talk about fat loss and body building .What role does calories plays in it.


  • There is a specific maintenance calories for every individual,it varies from individual to individual. 

  • So lets say a person whose goal is fat loss,so he has to go for caloric deficit which means he has to decrease its calories intake from his maintenance calories .

  •  Similarly a person who is very lean or wants to build person he has to go for caloric surplus ,which means to increase the caloric intake than its maintenance calories.                                                                          
Now the question arise how to know the maintenance calories amount, so there is a way or simply you can say a formula that helps us to know our maintenance calories,it will be posted on the next blog.                                     



As a conclusion i will say that whether your goal is fat loss or muscle gain if there is no workout or exercise in your daily schedule then its not going to help to achieve your goals.your muscle tissue need to get break off.
